Jumping noise when you're walking

From the game Chameleon Twist 2 for the Nintendo 64.
Go through the first level until you get to this spot shown in the screenshot. You'll have to jump down to this lower rocky area. Now, run into the wall and while you're running, press the jump button. You'll make the jumping noise but still be running; there'll be no visual indication of you jumping.
