[edit] Don't help Alice with her bags
LOL I lied, no major plot details here
The silence slowly kills Andrew as he wonder why he doesn't want to help this poor tiny girl. "So, any plans for the summer?" Andrew asks slowly.
"Oh," Alice replies suddenly caught off guard (It was like she was expecting you'd ask to help her). "Just spending some time with my dad. I also have to get ahead in studying for the next semester. That's actually why I have these big bags; they have my books."
The pain of not helping her suddenly started tearing Andrew's heart to pieces. The siren for the baggage claim suddenly went on as the bags began to fall down the conveyor belt. "I guess that's your queue?" Andrew said with a light smile.
"Oh no," Alice replied. "LAZ's baggage claim literally takes forever. I could probably come back in half an hour and my bag's still wouldn't have come down." ("That's a relief. I feel sorry for the other me," Andrew thought to himself.) Suddenly he heard Alice's stomach make a sound like an T-Rex roaring at it's prey. Her face turned redder than a ripe tomato.
"Say wanna go get a snack at the cafe right behind me?" Andrew said with a smirk. Alice nodded and they quickly walked in and began looking around.
Andrew paced through the aisle looking for something the author could get money for product placement for but couldn't find anything, so he grabbed a brown bag of chips and a candy bar called generic as fuk. When he returned to the front of the story he witnessed Alice glaring at a generic bag of gummy rings sitting on top of the soda fridge. "What are you doing?"
Alice snapped out of her trance, "What? Oh, I was just... Nevermind."
Andrew looked at her and then back at the candy and then back to Alice. "Here," he said as he reached up and grabbed the bag handing it to her.
"Wha! I can get it myself," She said reaching up and barely missing the top of the fridge. Her face turned red again. "I wasn't planning on getting it, I left my purse in my other bag."
"It's okay, my treat," Andrew said pulling out some cash.
They both left the cafe and took a seat on the benches. Andrew opened the bag of chips and stuffed his mouth with something that looked like a cross between a Dorito and a potato chip (Use your imagination, damn) while Alice opened up her bag of gummies and began nibling on a ring. "I wish I was taller," she said under her breath.
"What was that?" Andrew asked.
"Nothing," Alice said, face red with bewilderment.
"Andrew!" They heard from a motherly voice.
"Right, that's my mom. I gotta go, I'll see you around?" Andrew said with a wave as he got up and jogged away.
"Yeah!" Alice replied as she waved back.
