The United Commonwealth of Auria and Eastern Abezin, normally shortened to the United Commonwealth or just the Commonwealth is a country whose main territory lies on the western peninsula of Lusitierra. It also holds territory in the east of Abezin, as well as several islands in the Strait of Gachinsky (named after General Gachinsky, who conquered the area in 0000).

Auria is organised as a fully presidential federation, composed of ?? states, each of which have varying representation in the national bicameral Senate according to their population. ?? is the national capital, while ?? is the largest city.

The Commonwealth is home to a handful of different ethnic groups, including the Aurians, Durans, Naftites and the ???, the ??? in the Republic of Southern Abezin, as well as the indigenous population of the ??? Islands to the south.

The territory of Auria was unified in ?? as the Kingdom of Auria, composed of many different tribes under the banner of King Matthew I, who reigned as the nation's king until his death in 0000. Auria conquered several territories during the Age of Discovery, cementing its position as a world power, and bringing it into conflict with several nations, including Odessa. Eastern Abezin was brought into the Kingdom of Auria during this time in 0000, thus making the Kingdom the Empire of Auria.

In 0000, the first anti-monarchist stirrings began to rumble, eventually surfacing in the ?? Massacre in 0000, in which several Crown soldiers opened fire on a crowd of protesters. From there, the situation would only get worse, and following the War of 0000, the Monarchy was overthrown and a democratic federal republic put in its place. Eastern Abezin stayed neutral during this time, but later petitioned to become a state, and in 0000 its membership was awarded.

Aurian cuisine varies widely from area to area; while the lowlands of mainland Auria are known for their peppers, seafood dishes and sweets, the highlands are famous for simple, hearty fare (mainly fish dishes and lamb and potatoes, along with rich, dark beer from the western country). Eastern Abezin cuisine features an abundance of fish, along with tubers, root vegetables, apples and plums. The Gachinsky Islands feature many exotic fruits and vegetables, and many dishes are quite sweet.
