  • Guitars: Mosrite Ventures II (white; used and owned until the end of his retirement; later sold to producer Daniel Rey), Mosrite Ventures II (blue; stolen in the 1970s), Mosrite Ventures II (brown; ended up in a music store with a pair of Johnny's jeans), Mosrite Ventures I/VI (red; owned by T.Bags of Deadones USA), Mosrite 1-pickup (white), Mosrite 1-pickup (black), Rickenbacker 450 (used on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert; later stolen), Rickenbacker Fireglo 450 (eventually traded for Mosrite), 1950s Fender Stratocaster (white; owned briefly, then stolen), custom Hamer endorsement guitar (white; traded in 1980s for another guitar)
  • Pedals: Boss TU-12 tuner, A/B box (one signal to amps, one signal to tuner; reportedly, this box was used mostly for stopping feedback in between songs)
  • Amps: Marshall JMP Super Lead 100W head and Marshal JCM800 100W Lead Series head into two Marshall 4x12 cabinets
