Introduction
Xaliotl was born in a little farming village out in the Southern Threshold. His mother was a nice young woman of good Breeding and noble house, if terribly passionate, who had skipped town after having failed to Exalt and subsequently being denied entrance to the Heptagram (which was her dream) and having her marriage un-arranged (a bit too late). When her parents found her gone, they presumed she'd go cool her heels and be back one day, and being who she was, well... they didn't spend too much time checking when she didn't.
She became a proficient thaumaturgist, and Xali spent his childhood running around with the other children, having his head filled with slightly rebellious thoughts of noblesse oblige and treating mortals like people alongside those of heroism and of grand deeds of sword and sorcery. He became particularly good friends with the son of one his mother's maids, Iktli.
Regardless, one day he Exalted, and set out on his own to make his name. Iktli accompanied him, partly out of friendship and partly out of the semi-valid fear that, Chosen of the Dragons or not, he'd end up wandering off a cliff if left to his own devices.
And so they traveled. In Chiaroscuro he helped a mortal girl set out on her own quest; in the Southeast he traveled with a Cynis Lily looking for her Sifu; in the great forests they battled Wyld monsters; in the Northeast he met a young, er, person who led Xali (finally) to someone who could teach him sorcery without wanting to, well, keep him. And it was good.
So Xali continued on his quest for sorcerous knowledge. He learned that there were more Circles yet to know and that one needed greater power than could normally be found in a Dragon-Blooded to understand and use them. Unfortunately, most methods of higher power he could find were "get Exalted as a Lunar or Solar" (which was now likely impossible), "ask horrible things and hope really hard they can and will help" (which he thought was a bit stupid, even if he were willing), or "find this ancient mythical artifact" (and the texts never could agree on which one(s)). And then there was the "ultimate Exaltation" thing, however that worked... but that was probably full of shit, he thought, because it was an Immaculate thing. There had to be some way to do it without turning evil or heading off on a wild goose chase. Some way that was appropriately noble and honorable and heroic and badass. (Etc.)
Eventually, he found one. The No Moon he'd been studying under had friends, and he got... well, hired out is the best word for it at first, to some of the Swords of Luna for a few runs into the Wyld. He did pretty damn well, and impressed them enough for them to consider offering him the Blessing. When they did, he jumped on it...

"Whaddya mean, 'things man was not meant to know'? Who says?"
Name: Xaliotl
Age: 17
Basic Description: Short skinny little thing- a little less than five feet tall- with waist-length black hair and bright red skin and eyes. For some reason, he also has slightly pointed ears and fangs, making him look like some sort of imp. He tends to wear a light kilt and sandals; maybe a cloak if it's raining or really cold. Since the Akuma investiture, waves of heat seep off him. Image (Deviantart)- warning, has name on
Personality: Xali is loud, high-spirited, and as passionate as any other Fire Aspect and more than some. Though somewhat more composed than he was when he first Exalted, he's still young, and has a great tendency to act before he thinks. Xali desires power, but he desires it because he considers his Exaltation to be an obligation to help people, and more power/skill/knowledge/etc. makes him better at doing that. Despite some experience, he still has something of a four-color view of heroism, though he might eventually grow out of that. Maybe.
Origin: Teeny little place a ways from Chiaroscuro. His mother was Sesus Tsukino and his father a Cathak, though he hasn't bothered to learn much about the latter. (It doesn't really enter his mind.)

Allies **
- Iktli - Full Moon Lunar, Dingo Totem. Iktli is a couple of years older than Xali, and nearly his opposite. Stolid and temperate, he nevertheless has a quick mind and a quick tongue, and the two often act more like rivals than friends- rather, they tend to consider each other more brothers than any sort of friends, which explains part of that.
- Cynis Meredith - Wood Aspect DB. This is the MAist mentioned in the intro; she's since made her way back to the Isle and is continuing with her dual goals of getting rich and learning to beat the crap out of people she doesn't like. She thinks Xali is a little dear and still figures she owes him for what he did on top of being a friend, so she's a bit more than a contact. (She also has a bit of a thing for Iktli, if it matters.)
Contacts ***
Like most wandering heroes, Xali meets a lot of people. The three big ones are:
- A'ikana Kalil, the girl from Chiaroscuro. He doesn't entirely remember her... but she remembers him, and despite having left a lot of that part of her life behind, might help him if he needs something regarding the Bureaus that she's around for. (A'ikana is a purplesid character of mine whose backstory abuts with Xali's.)
- Aidan, the Arctic Fox Lunar who led him to his sorcerous mentor, and who is also a student of said mentor. Ey is still in the North somewhere.
- I think I'll leave this open until it's necessary/desired/will help tie PCs together.
Artifacts
- Pair of Short Daiklaves, Red Jade, Dawnsliver and Duskfall (*+*, Spd4 Acc+4 Dmg7L Def+1 Rate2 &Att3each). Thin scimitar-shaped blades, these were heirlooms his mother took and gave to him when he Exalted. They do bear a small Sesus mons on each hilt.
- Lamellar, Red Jade (**, +8L/+9B H5L/5B M-1 F0 &att3). One of the Lunars Xali was with had taken this from a Hunter, and thought it would make an amusing gift.
- Dragon Tear Tiara (**, +1 Perception, +3 geomancy/non-sorcery occult Per rolls, hearthstone setting, &att2). Found this in the manse. :3

When one travels regularly, one finds neat things.
- Amber River, Wood (Jewel of Youthful Suppleness *, +2 Athletics/+2 escaping from things)

Mentor ***
- Gerwahl, No Moon Reindeer Lunar. Crafty sorceror. Lives in cave in middle of fuck nowhere, the better to give the impression of being a crotchety old wise man with.
Merits/Flaws
Complete Lack of Direction Sense: The cost was based off Internal Compass, and it's roughly similar; as the name states, Xali will get lost if left to his own devices. Compass and map will not help. This is one major reason why Iktli insisted on going with. (This is a character schtick and I think it's funny, that's about it.)
Unusual Appearance: Well... even with high breeding, most DBs don't look like bright red slightly-taller-than-normal-goblins. In fact, very little does. He's actually looked like this all his life, so it's probably not a Wyld pox, whyever it is...
(If necessary, these can be taken without points, but I'd like to keep the fluff regardless.)
