Professor Third is Ingrid Third's father, he is the head of the Math-History department at the local University.

History

Professor Third only appears in the episode A Cold Day at X and it is shown that is hopless when it comes to medicine causing him to need round the clock attention as Ingrid said the last time he was ill, he tried to take his temperature by sticking a thermometer up his nose.

Professor Thirds skills are unknown as he is mainly a background character although it is hinted that he must be extremely intelligent as he is the dead of a University department.
