The Fake Cheats wiki sets out to make fun of those stupid bogus cheats you find from time to time on internet tip sites such as Super Cheats, and those silly rumours about games that turn out to be April fools jokes, pranks etc.

As a secondary function, the wiki will also work as an advisory centre for anyone confused about a 'controversial' cheat: only false cheats can be found on Fake Cheats.

Please feel free to add any cheats you find that are clearly bogus. Remember to note where you found the 'cheat', however. If you make the 'cheat' up yourself, it is up to you whether you want to credit yourself. Normal wiki editing guidelines apply.

The only restriction we will place on creating your own 'cheats' is that it's got to be relevant to the game in some way. Oh yes, and it has to have some sort of satirical or comedy value... otherwise it would be pointless.

[edit] A plea

At the moment the wiki is very thin on the ground, so I'm on the lookout for contributors and potential admin. If you like the idea of the wiki and want to get involved, leave a message on my user talk page and I will consider making you an admin.

Of course, Fake Cheats will never be as big as Wikipedia, but with a bit of help this could achieve cult status... who knows.
