The Apple is the main character in the Evil Toaster series. "The Apple" is not his real name, but his real name is unknown to himself, and everybody else. However, the Evil Toaster knows his name. He never found his true name so he made up one for himself:App. This "name" is only used in Evil Toaster 5.

In Evil Toaster (game) the Apple had no personality besides being established as the Evil Toaster's enemy. In this game, the Apple is the playable character. Notably, this is the only game where the Apple can fly.

It is said that the Apple holds the Seed of Peace. If he can get it, the war between apples and toasters will end. He can get it 2 ways: Slice himself open (not a option, but it would work), or learn his name. Roaster wants to kill the Apple since he believes the Apple holds the Seed of Peace, which he wants to destroy. Roaster learns that the Evil Toaster has the Apple's name in his programing(but the Evil Toaster dosen't actually know it himself), so Roaster tries to find the Evil Toaster as well as set up Portable Arenas to kill the apple.
