Declaration
We, the States of the Tarian Union hereby agree to the following articles regarding trade between ourselves and other Member States. We agree to set no law, or conduct in any practices that are contrary to the spirit or the wording of this treaty.
Articles
Article 1: Most Favoured Nation Status
All Member States will be treated as Most Favoured Nations.
- No member shall set any trade tariffs, taxes or restrictions on any other Member State that are better or worse than those imposed on other Member States.
- No nation will set trade tariffs, taxes or restrictions on any other Member States that are worse than those imposed on non Members.
- Defense, nuclear, and other trade relating to a States’ security or sovereignty are excluded from Article 1.
Article 2: Free Movement of Goods and Services
All Member States agree to the free movement of goods, services with the Tarian Union.
- No restrictive quotas shall be placed on the transference of goods and services originating within the TaU between other Member States.
- The movement of capital and labour are not covered by this article.
- Goods and Services originating within the boundaries of the Union but produced by companies where a controlling interest lies outside the Member States, are excluded from this Article.
Article 3: Taxation
All citizen of the Tarian Union, paying tax to one Member State are to be free from Double Taxation from Another Member State.
Article 4: Intellectual Property Rights
All Member States agree to uphold the intellectual property rights established on any organisation or individual, where those rights originate within the Union. In particular, all copyrights and patents issued in one Member State are recognized in all Member States.
Article 5: Conflicting Obligations
No Member State shall enter into any other trade agreements that are incompatible with this treaty. Where a potential conflict of obligations arises, this Treaty shall have precedence.
