Overview

The Old Realms is a land of strange magic, alien, timeless societies and great dangers. A small cluster of ancient realms that have survived through a rigid conservatism and relying on the power and law of their enigmatic rulers to ensure their safety through the centuries. Because of this, these lands have remained unchanged for millennia and the people here pass their lives in timeless oblivion of the world around them. This dependency has created highly authoritative societies where the rulers' words are absolute and the people's devotion to this likewise.

Overview: A land of deep forest and small agricultural villages and towns, it sustains itself primarily by farming and logging. The druids rule this land and all citizens pay homage to them and obey their bidding. It is thanks to their powers, that the nation has not been overrun by Altakhir, monster rampages or the goblins to the north.

Politics & Economics: Highest among the druids are the Council of Elders, a group of seven animists who have ruled this country for centuries. Their aims are unknown, but so far benign to the Nenlans, which is all they need to know.

Ruled by a circle of wizards rumoured to be undying Isan archmages, the circle has ensured that Altahkir remains a bastion of ancient Isan virtues and culture. Magic-users rule by the authority of their power.
