There exist 5-6 major magical institutions in Éran, as follows:
Academy of Arcane Studies Brennèl
The organised guild of wizardry in the empire of Brennèl. The have enclaves in all the major cities and exercise strict control of wizardry in the old empire. Their headquarters is the silver Tower of Magestar in Devi, which holds perhaps the largest concentration of wizards anywhere in Éran, rivalled only by the Tower of Arcane Arts in Amlin. The largest magical libraries in Éran are hidden within the tower, containing the accumulated lore of more than 1500 years and many more texts dating back to the early days of Brennèl.
Arcane Arts Society [[[Amlin]]]
Residing in the emerald Tower of Arcane Arts in the jewel of the west, the Arcane Arts Society is the most powerful of the guilds in the Calmir Region. Not as large or populated as the Magestar Tower in Devi, The Tower is nonethless a great repository of arcane knowledge and it is believed that it holds the largest number of tomes from ancient Isandor, as the region sits closer to the old heartslands of that empire, leading many of the other guilds to fear the potential power of the Society. Though the Society's direct influence does not stretch beyond the domain of Amlin, it is nonetheless in the Tower of Arcane Arts that the guilds of the Calmir Region will meet up if there are important matters to discuss and it is considered the centre of magic in the region today as it was before the Third Magewar.
Erro Guild of Wizardry [Errion]
The Erro Guild of Wizardry regulates the use of magic throughout the empire of Errion. The Guild is feared far and wide as training the finest war wizards in all of Éran as they have specialised in this particular art to a high degree, contributing to make Errion's armies the most feared on the continent.
University of Magical Studies [Irros]
Centered around the Golden Tower, this is one of the six major universities of magic in Éran.
School of the High Art [Âmre]
The academy of magic of the elves of the Âmre. The sixth of the great institutions of magical learning on Éran.

Minor Groups
School of Arcane Learning [Steel Lands]
Once a proud and established place of magical learning, the famous Ruby Tower is a shadow of its former glory. Still the major magical centre of the north, its halls are far from crowded.
The Serpent League [Solman]
The remnants of the royal league of wizards in the old Solman empire, the serpent league is now an independent group of wizards, working towards monitoring the use of magic in Éran (in particular the east) and hunting down and destroying irresponsible users of it. Based in the Grey Fortress in the XXX mountains, the league offers membership to anyone who can prove themselves in alignment with their own philosophy of magic and are willing to work towards this common goal.
