Read OUR OPINION: Smart growth vs. sprawl.

a) What are the issues and problems? Valdosta-Lowndes County residents are determining how their community will develop population wise. Residents are in the middle of deciding how their community will grow. The residents have to plan effectively in order to prevent any population sprawl within their community. Valdosta-Lowndes County consists of a state university, an Air Force,and a theme park. The state university, an Air Force,and a theme park can contribute to the Valdosta-Lowndes County area to grow rapidly. Therefore this community needs to plan according to prevent a vast majority of people coming to the area without having the resources to support everyone.

b) If this where happening in your community, could you think of any positive or constructive resolutions?
