The Osean Maritime Defense Force, OMDF, is one of the world’s largest naval strike forces. The Osean Naval Fleet’s competer is the Yuktobanian Navy. The Oseans revealed their newest ship, the OFS Kestrel. Her captain during the Belkan War is unknown. This Nimitz class Supercarrier, is able to carry more aircrafts, unlike earlier aircraft carriers. Osea still operates the F-14 Tomcat Family and is adding on the F/A-18 Super Hornets to their fighter support squadrons.

During the Belkan War in 1995, (Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War), in Operation Costner, OMDF forces and the 66th AFU Galm defenses the Osean 3rd Naval Fleet, along with the OFS Kestrel, from two flanking attacks by the Belkan Air Force units. Although greatly outnumbered, the Osean fleet managed to pull through with minor damage. The Osean 3rd Naval Fleet was heading into the Osean Great Lakes area to provide aerial support for Osean and Allied ground forces.

Fifteen years after Operation Costner, the OFS Kestrel was again trusted into the middle of surprise attack at the St. Hewlett Osean Naval Base, both by air and sea. The 108th “Wardog” TFS was sent in to defend the Kestrel at any cost. On December 29th 2010, the Kestrel encountered a large Yuktobanian Naval Force. By this time the Kestrel was mortally damaged by two powerful anti-ship missile launched by an unknown submarine. In the words of Captain Nicholas A. Anderson, “I have lost one battle after another. But now, I have finally won because I know that they are out there.”
