[edit] General Information

The Belkan Air Force 51st Air Division, 126th Tactical Fighter Squadron, is made up of one F-4E Phantom II and four F-16C Fighting Falcon. The Third Season Silber Squadron works extremely well together in combat, but rely heavily on their flight leader who flies an F-4E Phantom II. If the flight leader is shot down the remaining Silber pilots become disorganized. They are featured in Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War

[edit] History

The Silber Squadron has a long and honorable history within the Belkan Air Force. The 51st Air Division 105th Tactical Fighter Squadron was later refered to as the First Season Silber Team, when Flight Leader Dietrich "Boss" Kellerman joined the Air Force and was assigned to the squadron around 1973. The First Season Silber Team had fought during the Rectan War and is responsible for defeating the highly trained Rectan Air Force Pilots and allowing Belkan Ground Forces to take the Rectan city of Calle, which was the root of all Rectan resistance forces. They were later scrambled to deal with the Ware Incident in 1985 when multiple unknown aircraft appeared over the Crescence Islands.

After this Kellerman retires, but the 105th Tactical Fighter Squadron continues on without him from 1990 through 1995. This is considered to be the Second Season Silber Team. Kellerman becomes an instructor and teaches multiple pilots vital flight combat skills, but is called back to the frontlines when the Belkan War begins to turn towards Belka's defeat. Coming back to the frontlines with young pilots from the 9th Special Education Course, also known as the "Kellerman Institution", the Third Season Silber Team is formed and heads into battle.

However, during Operation Battle Axe the Thrid Season Silber Squadron is sent into the frontlines in hopes of bolstering morale within the Belkan Forces and in order to reclaim Air Superiority over Area B7R, The Round Table; the Silber Squadron was shot down. Many members of the Squadron were killed in action, causing Kellerman to retire to the Belkan countryside with no desires to ever fly again. The Third Season Silber Team is later known as the Squadron of Tradegy.
