Introduction
This quest is required if you want the lvl 70 version. And you do. Unless you suck
Quest 1
Vida Sweeps in Nettleville Hovel (+675.96, -20.42, +311.03)needs someone to pick up a new broom from The Baubbleshire. She will reward you with a Strange Blue Stone if you would run to The Baubbleshire and pick it up from Tawli Whiskwind.
Visit Tawli at +826.98, -13.87, -487.59. Get the broom. Return to Vida for your reward. She will give you a Dusty Blue Stone and tell you that it may be useful to a mineral expert. The mineral expert is Gruffin Goldtooth in the Graystone Yard. Speak to him to open the Dusty Blue Stone quest (see related quests).
Quest 2
This quest is initiated by visiting Gruffin Goldtooth after completing the "Vida Needs a New Broom" quest, if you have the Dusty Blue Stone in your possession still. It is the start of the quest for Ghoulbane.
Gruffin sends you to the Thundering Steppes to mine 40 Sunswept Stones.
After obtaining these return to Gruffin who will then send you to South Qeynos to speak to Aristide Calais past the red teleportal in the mages tower.
The mage will send you to visit Olden Highguard at the Thundermist Village in the Thundering Steppes (+613, -1, -56).
After this you return to Aristide Calais (the mage) who will send you to speak to Toranim Skyblade in the Temple of Life in North Qeynos. You will then be sent to Stormhold to kill undead (any will do). After doing this return to Toranim Skyblade. At that point you will be given your choice of rewards if you are a class that does not wish to use Ghoulbane. If you wish to continue for Ghoulbane then you will be given the Restoring Ghoulbane quest.
Quest 3
This quest is given by Toranim Skyblade, at the Temple of Life in North Qeynos, after you complete the Vida Needs a New Broom and Dusty Blue Stone quests. It is the final leg of Ghoulbane.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Evil characters (or lazy good characters) can bypass the Dusty Blue Stone requirements by purchasing one from brokers occasionally.
The next step is to enter the Tomb of Valor and grab Ghoulbane (see A Key to the Past quest for access information). After doing this return to the Temple of Life and receive a Weakened Ghoulbane.
You then must kill three powerful undead beings to recharge the Ghoulbane. These are triggered spawns (need locations of triggers). They are:
Cauldron Hollow: Descendant of the Torig Crypt of Betrayal: Spectre of Ire (can spawn in any ire minion/warlock spots at +164.58, +6.85, -54.04 or at +140, -77 for example) Known locations include: -12.37, 0, -154.07 Ruins of Varsoon: The Creator
The hard part here is Cauldron Hollow. It is a lengthy quest (see related quests)
After doing this you must head into Nektropos Castle and kill Malthus Everliving.
