ProjectsEagle House Toolbox is under development. You are welcome to browse, contribute, and leave Feedback.
You are at the Eagle House Toolbox Main Page. From here, you can go many places, depending on what interests you. You can always come back here by clicking "Main Page" (unless you've disabled your sidebar). About This WikiEagle House Toolbox is an educational resource intended to support students K-12, especially those taking high school Math. We concentrate here on practical tools and skip definitive explanation in favor of "plain talk".
Getting AroundDifferent pages are linked to other pages in their bodies; but all pages display a sidebar (unless you've disabled it in your preferences). The sidebar contains a set of useful links; you may want to explore all of them now.
Unlike some other wikis, our pages are divided into namespaces. So, for example, there can be both a Help:Foo page and an Eagletools:Foo page; they're different. There are only a limited number of namespaces and each one has a unique role to play. Pages without any prefix ("Foo") are considered to be in the Main namespace. Consider these the main content pages. In most cases, pages in all namespaces behave alike; the only difference is in how we choose to use them. Some namespaces are controlled by the MediaWiki engine for particular purposes and some can't be edited at all. Every page has a "back side", an associated talk page. If you want to discuss something, comment on talk. Please be sure to sign each comment with four tildes (~~~~). Thank you.

The Tipped Can is an interesting exercise in solid geometry. Coming soon: Compass and straightedge construction, formal solution and proof, engineering drawings and a real working model.
EditingYes, this is a wiki. No, not everyone can edit. You need to create an account on this wiki in order to edit pages. It's free to join and you don't need to give an email address.
Please keep in mind that we have a narrow mission here. If it doesn't relate to education, you might want to look for another place for it. Follow redlinks like this and create new pages to explain concepts and help grow the Toolbox. Like much in life, it's what you make it. WikipediansIf you're an experienced MediaWiki user, you probably spent time on Wikipedia. Eagle House is not affilliated in any way with that project. You may be able to borrow technical skills and apply them here but chances are, social habits imported from WP will find a cool welcome. It all depends. Are you here to work or to express your opinion? We warmly welcome Wikipedians here. Just check your weapons at the door. More...Some more good places to start exploring the Toolbox: |
