Actually, Mao Tse-tung is the spelling in the Wade-Giles system, which is designed by Europeans. Mao Zedong (with tonal markers) is the "correct" Chinese spelling using the Pinyin system. --Tkangaru 05:28, 27 October 2009 (PDT)
