[edit] Bio
[edit] Pre-Dunehelden
Jason was born in Nuremberg, Germany, and grew up with his parents and two older sisters, Helen and Ariadne. His parents both enjoyed the ancient Greek myths, and so named all their children after Greek heroes and deities (Jason Apollo, Helen Demeter, Ariadne Rhea). He was bitten by a werewolf at the age of sixteen, and came out to his family as gay two years later. He was sent away to Dunehelden a month before his nineteenth birthday.

[edit] Zephyros
Jason's closest friend at Dunehelden seems to be Zephyros Aetai, a mage and an Academy junior. Jason met Zephyros during an art class, when Zeph was acting as a model for Jason. Jason took an immediate interest in Zeph, being drawn to his godlike beauty. His classmate, Seth Larisha, tried to dissuade Jason from becoming friends with Zeph. Nonetheless, Jason and Zeph became very fast friends.
Jason met Zeph again soon after the art class, this time in the weight room just off of the gymnasium. Jason watched Zeph working out, and helped him out afterward by wiping the sweat off of Zeph, and bringing him a towel and helping him warm up in the chilly locker room after he had showered. The two of them began feeling mutual attraction almost immediately, but managed to tone it down to a friendship, at least at first. Jason and Zeph continued to develop their relationship as time went on, spending a great deal of time together; Zeph often came to Jason's room to watch him paint, and more than once they ended up falling asleep together on Jason's bed. Their relationship quickly blossomed into a romantic one, despite their attempts to hold back and remain friends.
[edit] Jonathan
Jason first met Jonathan Harris one afternoon in the courtyard, where he had taken his art supplies out to paint in the fresh air with Zeph. Ian Harris and Jonathan were initially fighting among themselves, but Jason and Zeph got involved when Jonathan knocked over some of Jason's art supplies. A great deal of arguing and insults ensued, and Zeph attempted to strangle Jonathan while holding Ian and Jason back with a wind he called up with his magic. Ian managed to stop him by lying and saying that the Headmistress was coming.
Jason gathered up his art supplies and his easel and painting (which had been knocked over in the wind) and went to return to his dorm, intending to shower and change out of his paint-covered clothes. On the way, Zeph attempted to apologize for his behavior, and Ian did as well. Jason assured them that he just needed time to calm down, though inwardly he wasn't sure whether or not he wanted Zeph to be around him for awhile. Zeph asked if he could at least help Jason get his art supplies back to his room, and Jason agreed. He apologized to Zeph for brushing him off, and Zeph insisted that Jason needed time alone, but soon changed his mind and admitted that he didn't want to leave Jason alone. Zeph began to cry, and Jason comforted him before they finally went back to Jason's dorm.
When they reached Jason's dorm, Jason immediately asked Zeph what was bothering him, and Zeph admitted that he had been scared that Jason would leave him because of his loss of temper, and that Jason was angry at Zeph for ruining his painting and almost killing Jonathan. Jason assured Zeph that he wasn't upset at him about the painting, and he didn't mind Zeph's temper. He assured Zeph that he, Jason, didn't want to let anything come between the two of them, and urged Zeph to let Jason know when something was bothering him. Zeph began crying again, this time in relief, and cried himself to sleep in Jason's arms. When Zeph awoke, Jason assured him that he had no intention of leaving him, and they discussed whether they should call each other boyfriends. Jason then left to get Zeph something to eat, since Zeph wasn't feeling well.
Jason ran into Jonathan in the hallway on the way to the mess hall, and they began a tense conversation--Jonathan feigned courtesy to throw Jason off guard, which made Jason immediately suspicious. Jonathan told Jason that he was sorry for hurting Zeph, and that he felt alienated from everyone else at Dunehelden because of his unusual origins, as well as that he felt like everyone was judging him before knowing him. Jason retorted that people judged him only because they knew him, and that he was "a tactless, rude, selfish, egotistical bastard with no idea of the meaning of the word 'respect'", adding that no-one would show him respect unless he earned it. Jonathan repled that he didn't know how to be good, because he had never learned; this prompted Jason to offer to teach Jonathan how to be good. Jonathan soon got upset, feeling that he didn't deserve to be pitied by Jason. Jason comforted him and offered to talk with him in the mess hall, but Jonathan just insisted that he should go away and take care of Zeph. Jason reluctantly agreed.
Jason and Jonathan met later in an empty classroom, and Jason began quizzing Jonathan on ethis and morality, trying to teach him right from wrong. This failed miserably, as none of the questions seemed to really apply to Jonathan, or so he said. Jonathan accidentally hinted at harboring more than friendship for Jason. This led awkwardly into talking about Jonathan's aggression as a defense mechanism, and a suggestion that Jonathan attempt to let his guard down so that people could approach him with the potential to be friends. Jonathan got angry when Jason mentioned Ian's name, calling Ian a monster, and again urging Jason to leave him alone. Jason did, reluctantly, and told Jonathan to look for him if he ever needed someone to talk to. He ended by telling Jonathan that he was more than he believed he was.
[edit] The Fall
Jason and Jonathan met up again sometime later, again in a classroom. Jonathan thanked Jason for being the only person to treat him with respect and goodness. Jason responded by forgiving Jonathan about ruining his painting and his pants during the fight in the courtyard. Jason gave Jonathan a friendly hug, at the exact moment that Zeph came by looking for Jason. Zeph misconstrued Jason's intentions and ran away in tears, after dropping a gift he had meant to give to Jason. Jason left Jonathan and ran off in pursuit of Zeph, taking the dropped gift with him. He did not find Zeph immediately, but was helped by Seth, who comforted him.
Jason didn't find Zeph again until the next morning, when he went to Zeph's dorm, with the intent to explain what had happened with Jonathan and plead Zeph's forgiveness. Zeph shouted for Jason to go away, and Jason insisted that he would do anything to earn back Zeph's trust, begging him to "Tell me what I need to do!" Zeph angrily shoouted for Jason to "Go jump off a roof", to which Jason obediently answered, "As you wish."
Jason immediately headed up to the roof overlooking the courtyard, fully prepared to obey Zeph's unwitting instruction to the letter. Zeph saw him and commanded him to get down from the roof, which Jason did--only to lose his foooting while turning around, and fall from the roof. Zeph was able to slow his fall somewhat, using the already-strong winds, but Jason broke both legs, his pelvis, and bruised several ribs when he landed. Zeph was distraught at not being strong enough to spare Jason so much harm, but Jason was grateful that Zeph saved his life.
Aramis Aldin came onto the scene and did what he could for Jason, putting his shattered legs back together and healing his pelvis and ribs slightly, before blacking out from the backlash of pain and the use of his energy. Jason found Zeph's gift in his jacket, and opened it, revealing a beautiful opal ring. Jason vowed to wear it forever as a symbol of his love and fidelity to Zeph.
Zeph wondered why Jason would take his angry words so literally, and Jason explained the meaning of the vocal cue he had given Zeph--a cue that he was willing to obey any instructions to the letter, without question. Zeph promised to never again tell Jason to do something so rash. Jason began wondering whether Zeph was hiding something from him, as Zeph was strangely sad and distant despite having saved Jason's life. Zeph told him that he was in pain because he had caused Jason so much pain.
Aramis came to soon after, and helped get Jason to the sick bay on a stretcher. Exhausted though he was, Aramis helped Jason and Zeph (and Ian, who was also in the sick bay, badly injured) to the best of his ability, getting food and vitamin supplements for them. Jason continued to wonder at Zeph's silence and emotional distance, becoming frightened. Zeph passed it off as tiredness, an alibi which Jason accepted, if reluctantly. Zeph continued to care for Jason until he was able to leave the sick bay.
[edit] Almost Too Late
A few days after his fall, Jason went to Zeph's dorm, intending to speak with him. He entered the dorm to wait for Zeph, having heard running water and assuming Zeph was showering. Going to the bathroom door to tell Zeph he was there, Jason smelled blood inside the bathroom. He rushed inside, finding Zeph unconscious in the shower; he opened the door, seeing that Zeph had slit his wrists. Jason used the sleeves of his shirt to bandage the wounds, then screamed for help. Aramis arrived quickly and began to heal Zeph's wrists, while Jason told him what he knew of what had happened. Jason then began to hallucinate, imagining that he was in a chapel praying to the Virgin Mary, and seeing Zeph alive and well, but scarred. Jason soon blacked out, just as Professor Vincent Hawk arrived, having heard Jason's screams from outside.
Vincent and Aramis carried Zeph and Jason to the sick bay, where Jason woke up and went into hysterics. Vincent restrained him, and Jason explained what he knew of Zeph's suicide attempt. Vincent then comfirmed to Jason and Aramis that Zeph was alive, but barely. Vincent helped get Jason and Zeph cleaned and dried, while Aramis passed out from exhaustion on one of the cots. Jason slept beside Zeph in the same bed, to keep him warm through the night.
Zeph came to the next morning, and woke Jason, who explained what he, Aramis and Vincent had done to save him. Jason woke Vincent, who made sure Zeph and Jason were alright before leaving to get them something to eat and drink. While Vincent was gone, Ian arrived and berated Zeph for being "the most selfish person on planet earth." Zeph blacked out during the ensuing conversation, causing Jason to panic and wake Aramis, who confirmed that Zeph was in no danger. Vincent soon returned with Professor Diana Harrows, and a tray of food for Jason, Zeph and Aramis. Jason, Vincent and Diana continued to care for Zeph.
[edit] Aftermath
A few days after Zeph's suicide attempt, Jason discovered a hidden suicide note from Zeph, which doubled as a heartfelt love letter. Zeph confirmed that every word of the letter was true, and apologized for hurting Jason again. Jason assured him that they would rebuild their shattered trust together, with time. He and Zeph pledged their faithfulness and love for each other, and they fell asleep together that night in Jason's bed. Jason suffered nightmares inspired by Zeph's suicide, and Zeph comforted him, promising that the nightmares would go away, but he would not.
Jason and Zeph continued to recover well from both close calls, but their actions were brought to the attention of the Headmistress, who made it clear that the boys were not allowed to be together without an approved teacher chaperone, they were not to enter each other's dorms, and they were to attend therapy with Bolin Honghui twice a week until Bolin saw that they were "capable of handling a relationship like responsible adults."
Several days later, Jonathan came to Jason's dorm at roughly four in the morning, looking like death warmed over and announcing that although Jonathan viewed Jason as a friend, the two of them would never speak again; Jonathan felt that Jason and Zeph's relationship was too important to be shaken up by a connection with Jonathan. Jason protested, saying that he and Zeph could love each other just as deeply, and Jason could still be friends with Jonathan at the same time. Jonathan insisted again that it was best that he leave, and Jason reluctantly bade him goodnight, but not goodbye.
[edit] Personality
Jason is a quiet, somewhat shy person, unwilling to knowingly rebel against authority without good reason, and intolerant of traitors and cheaters, particularly in regards to relationships.
[edit] Alternate Universe
Jason is a major character in a series of events set during the summer after the current year at Dunehelden. In "Gift of the Winds", Jason was visiting Zeph and his family in Greece, and Zeph mysteriously disappeared while he and Jason are visiting Aritha Kairavi's caravan. After seeing a ransom tape and hearing a phone call confirming that Zeph had been kidnapped, Jason immediately contacted Ian Harris and met up with Ian's cousin Paula Harris the next day, along with Aritha.
While talking with Paula, Jason received a phone call from Zeph, thus confirming that Zeph was alive--but his kidnappers meant to kill him once they received the ransom of two million American dollars. Zeph was able to give Jason (and by extension Paula) some information about where he was and what had been done to him, but not all. Paula initiated the investigation immediately, watching the ransom tape and hearing the recorded phone call to get as much information out of them as possible. She found out who the kidnappers were and, along with Jason, Aritha and Zeph's brother Euros, began a search which led to a dead end.
Zeph phoned Jason one more time, giving them a much-needed clue to his location. Paula and co. reached the kidnappers' hideaway just in time to see the kidnappers slit Zeph's throat. Paula, Jason and Aritha all reacted quickly; Paula shot the one who had slit Zeph's throat, while Jason shifted to wolf shape and then killed the man, ripping out his throat and getting stabbed in the process. Aritha killed two more of the men, and Paula arrested the remaining two. Zeph was rushed to the hospital along with Jason, who gradually began to recover from their injuries, fear and trauma. Three weeks later, the pair of them headed off to Germany to stay with Jason's family for the remainder of the summer.
