Light comes from the very awesome animanga Death Note, in which ace student Yagami Light, bored with his mundane life, finds a Death Note after school one day and begins to use to it cleanse the world of evil. However, super detective L begins to notice that criminals are systemically being killed off via heart attacks, and suspects that someone known as Kira by the Japanese population is behind these killings. A battle of the wits between these two men soon breaks out, with neither of them knowing the other's true identity.
Feeling the pressure, Light transfers to Desai University. His identity as Kira is unknown to everybody and is only suspected of being Kira by L.

Yagami Light is an extremely intelligent individual with an excellent ability to solve even the most difficult of problems. Light's a very assertive person; he knows what he wants and precisely how to get it, and he will. Light's a highly ambitious guy and a hard worker. He is determined, he will do whatever he can in order to get what he wants. If he happens to fail or something doesn't go the way he wanted, he will get right back up and try again. Light isn't one to easily give up and cry. In fact, he never cries and almost never shows his emotions. He's a Class S expert at hiding them and rarely ever lets his emotions surface for public viewing, making him a very difficult person to read. You can't really tell what goes through his head unless you happen to think almost exactly the way he does.
Light doesn't take well to losing. In fact, he hates it. He likes to win, to taste the sweet flavor of victory, and he's quite the confident individual. He hates feeling humialated and will take down whoever made him feel that way. You don't get away with making Yagami Light look a fool, oh no you don't. He'll spite you, get his vengeance, and you'll be the one who looks like an idiot. That's just the way it is. Light can get quite scary when you piss him off enough and houses a somewhat psychotic nature deep within himself. Just don't cross his path and you're good.
Light can be a bit of a loner although, he most definitely knows how to talk to people and will approach them when there's something he needs. He knows how to sweet talk to them and coax them into giving him want he wants. This leads Light to be somewhat manipulative as he can easily and readily use people for his own advantage.
Despite his weak points, Light's actually a decent person. He has a strong sense of justice, cares for his family, and doesn't like seeing innocent people get injured or killed. This causes Light to see the world as rotten due to the corruption plaguing the land, and he wants to make the world a much better place, where crime doesn't exsist and people can live their lives in peace, without the fear that something tragic will fall upon them or their loved ones. He will do whatever he can to see that there's justice in the world.
