Revision as of 19:05, 9 July 2012
This Dante is another incarnation of another Dante, once played in Squenix Uni and Fractura Uni, known as Sanctus and DivineSpiral respectively. However, during the course of play (since August of 2006), he's grown away from the archtype he once started as, and has become an entirely unique version, with only superficial ties to his predecessors.
Dante is munned by Amanda.

Appearance
So, the basics are: White hair (white, not silver, though it does possess silver highlights), blue eyes, and a fair, smooth complexion. He lucked out, in the looks department. And it can be assummed (and probably confirmed by the majority of the population of the campus, as Dante has no shame whatsoever) that the carpet matches the drapes. After all, his eyelashes are a medium to light shade of grey.
Outside of that, Dante truly doesn't possess a sense of personal 'style'. He likes to stand out, true enough, and that's more than accomplished with his leather jacket, which is a bright, target red. And even that, apparently, is not enough for the young half-demon. Of course not. Dante is nothing, if not overblown. Instead, covering the bright red...Thing he wears are a multitude of zippers, buckles, straps, and buttons (and the buttons have stars on them). It clatters and clanks when he walks, which is something he fails to recognize, having grown usee to the noise he makes on a second-to-second basis.
However, Dante doesn't really run around shirtless a good majority of the time at all. Instead, Dante's rather fond of tshirts and jeans, the more worn, the better, because those tend to be the most comfortable and accomodating. And besides: He knows it gets under Vergil's skin for him to look like a thrown away puppy, so even that has a double purpose. Dante, in all honesty, could afford better (yes, he's lying about his financial state, for the most part), he just doesn't care.
Devil Trigger
Background
Not much is expressly known about Dante's past. He doesn't talk about it, because he figures it's nobody's business but his own. Few outside of his own world realize that he's the youngest twin son of the legendary Dark Knight, Sparda, a demon who turned against his own kind two thousand years previously after awakening to the light and becoming mankind's savior from Hell, and a human woman named Eva. He has a twin brother, Vergil, though the two don't exactly go out of the way to point out that they are, in fact, identical twins, and even standing side by side, one probably wouldn't realize it at it, as the two have wildly different tastes in clothes and hairstyles.
Sometime during Dante's childhood, his house was invaded and his mother was killed by demons, and he and Vergil were seperated. Dante was bounced from orphanage to orphanage, most of them Catholic in origin, moved every time it was realized who and what he was. Sometime after he had reached his 'mid-teens', he struck out on his own, leaving the life of a penniless orphan for the life of a penniless drifter.
Not much has changed since then. Dante still wanders where he wants to, without much in the way of money, only just recently having come into a bit of property to house his 'shop', which he calls a paranormal investigation firm. In truth, Dante is a demon hunter, making his living from killing the beings that plague humanity, and are part of half of his heritage. He won't admit to that, however, just as he won't admit to being Sparda's son (whom he holds a deep disgust for, as he considers his father abandoned them and that it's partially Sparda's fault that Eva died). And this isn't something the common person would know. There aren't any connections in any solid form from Dante to Sparda, or even to Vergil; no paper trail whatsoever, and he prefers it that way.
Half of the way Dante acts can be attributed to the things that happened in his past, and half can be because of his heritage, which is something he has yet to gain a complete grasp on. He isn't interested in what he is or really how to use it, he just wants to kill the demons and find the one that took out his mom and end it.
Important In-Game Events
- Dante hadn't, according to in-game allusions, seen his brother in a few years before game's start.
- Dante has had an arm ripped off, in the catacombs of Rituana, where he was overrun by grunt demons. Vergil was the one to patch him up, in what could be considered their most civil and brotherly interaction yet.
- After Vergil decapitated his maid in the dorm's hallway, leaving behind a sack of live, shaved kittens, Dante took them in and named them. They are One, Two, Three, Four, Five, and Six. They are oocly known as the SOL or Sons Of Lucifer
- Dante is still listed as living in the dorms, but he has since moved into his own apartment in Rituana. He'll be fined at the end of the semester for room abandonment.
- Dante's shop, back in his homeworld, was broken into and three very important grimoires were stolen from him. The culprits were human, as Dante has his shop warded against demonic entities.
- Recently, there was an altercation between the twins involving a dispute about their mother and Arkham, whom Dante has a deep distrust for. It ended in one of their typical fights, and part of the dorm buildings were destroyed, leading to several students being injured; some severely.
- A portal to Hell was found in Dante's apartment building. When he tried to seal it, to give himself a little peace, he kind of screwed things up.
Random Facts
- According to Vergil, Dante has an allergy to peanuts. This has yet to be discovered to be true or not.
- Dante is a somewhat accomplished musician, though his favorite instrument is the drums. Because they're loud.
- Dante has and does hustle at pool for extra cash.
- Dante is the proud owner of six demonic cats. He doesn't know about the demonic part.
- As a child, Dante had a slight fear of the dark.
- Yes, he really dislikes Vergil's stupid hair as much as he claims.
