Laque Lands

The Laque Lands were initially created in opposition to the Godai Kingdom by Luke Laque. An army held under absolute control by Luke by blood and conditioning, the full extent of the Laque forces were never seen. The large Hive complexes were all held under ground, the full extent of the sprawling buildings never fully revealed.
When the planar crash occurred, the personal were evacuated and the AI controlling the system was placed in Defensive Mode. The lands reformed to the south of the Godai Border, the security system remaining active and keeping all intruders out of the independent nation. Awaiting the day when its master would return, the system watched for signs of hostility.
Banpei once crossed into the Laque Lands on his adventure to free the Floating island and its people from the curse holding it. When the island had blown apart and fallen to the earth it had landed in a part of the Laque Lands. The small robot accessed the Laque LAN, coming in contact with the Central AI. Intrigued by the small robot, it allowed it low level access around the protectorate. Banpei's actions eventually cleared the lands of the spiritual anomalies that were plaguing it, though a large chunk of rock flew off at the same time.
The Supreme AI halted all the Godai attempts at spying, gladly accepting the drones that were brought in by overriding and reprogramming them to add them to its collective. Until the Godai sent the last one. Unable to reprogram, deter, or destroy it, the Supreme AI reacted the only way it could to the act of War, launching a return attack. As the missile silos began to open in preparation to launch, the Godai kingdom reacted out of panic and used its Thorium Orbital Ion Cannon, blasting the atomic warheads as they launched. The explosions rocked the landscape and released a large cloud of radiation. Only through quick thinking did the GCRD create a energy field around the former sovereign nation, containing the nuclear fallout and forming a small self contained wasteland. Large snow drifts can be seen beyond the golden curtain of power, the onset of the nuclear winter raging within the artificial confines of the ravaged land.
