Ichiro Godai

Ichiro Godai is the younger brother of Yusaku Godai, and the second son of Whatsisname Godai. For most of his life, Ichiro was resentful of his elder brother, since their father generally compared the younger to the elder and said to be more like him. Well that was until he found out his brother was now his sister, and their father found out about it. The old blacksmith nearly had a coronary, and Ichiro couldn't help but ask if he should still follow in Yusaku's footsteps.

Later on during one of the attacks made against the kingdom by the viking tribes, a dragon was slain that happened to be carrying an egg. The egg was forced to hatch prematurely but the twin dragons within it managed to survive. Latching onto him, Ichiro found he could understand them and speak back to them, and inadvertently became their 'mother'. Raising his adopted sons, Ichiro moved to the Southern Mountain range with the dragons and found a nice lair for them. When the realm collapsed, he and the boys fled with the rest of the kingdom, though since their return they've stayed within the Dragon God Shrine. With the appearance of the Crystal Spire and the Gem dragons, the three of them have spent a large amount of time there, attempting to be emissaries for the kingdom. The Gem dragons find his command of draconic to communicate unsettling, wondering how a small fleshling could comprehend, let alone speak the language.
