Devon Masters
Image: Only 17 and 6'3" Devon towers over his "Uncle" Mathew. Hazel eyes with brown hair, sun bleached a rich amber color at the ends, a slight scraggly shadow is starting to appear around his chin. Wearing mainly just functional attire for his adopted profession as a clockmaker/artificer his carpenter pants and fishing vest over a plain white shirt hold various small tools and parts, with his backpack usually slung on his back during travel.
History/Bio: Devon grew up with his Grandfather back in Germany, where his deadbeat mother left him after she had him to follow a performing career with her new boyfriend. Last report that his grandfather had on her was that she was a "doll" at a local brothel. Devon grew up helping his Grandfather craft various clockwork mechanisms, ranging from clocks to intricate little windup toys. Occasionally visited by "Uncle" Mathew, the pair would be commissioned by their family member to craft exceedingly delicate clockwork figures. Upon the passing of his Grandfather, Devon traveled to CrossRealms to find his only other known relative. Arriving during a particularly tumultuous time in the Godai Kingdom, Devon could not find his Uncle and wandered around until finally gaining a job, room and board at the local clock smith's shop.
Other: Devon is a natural when it comes to crafting clockworks, but is inept at almost all other basic skills. When Devon makes a simple mechanical device it never needs fixing and never degrades through normal wear and tear. When he creates small wind up animals they tend to appear to be alive with their own personalities. The reasoning behind this is because Devon is a mage, but unaware of his ability. His clocks never need mending because his effort enchants the parts and augments their natural durability. His toys seem to be alive because in a spiritual sense they are alive, having crafted the spirit of the toy and giving it life during his work. None have commented upon the fact that none of his windups need rewinding...ever, or even the fact that over time, the key mechanism just ends up disappearing all together as if it never marred the item's surface.
