David Parkman is an investigator who came to the Wei Society looking for an apartment after divorcing his wife. Arriving at the same time as Masi Masakashi, Parkman kept to himself for the most part, just going to his security guard job and staying out of the way. For the longest time he thought that Hao Wei was running a drug smuggling operation due to his and the other residents behavior. Only with the threat of Renxli was Parkman clued in to the weird nature of the complex. Going from thinking they were doing some kind of chinese wicca cleansing ritual, to having a out of body experience and being told to take on a war form to combat the big scary creepy friggen thing trying to eat everyone opened his eyes to why they were running around spouting Chinese gibberish at high speeds. He did what Miao Yin told him, and unlike the Dynasty Heroes he was surrounded by, he appeared wearing SWAT gear with a high calibre sniper rifle. After the surreal battle, Parkman was just kind of bewildered by the entire thing and celebrated with the group, feeling a bit out of it. Only later did the full extent of the experience hit him, when while dreaming he pulled the entire sleeping complex into his dream realm. Parkman had awakened as a mind mage, and is currently attempting to study under both Hao and Dewei to control his powers.
