The Apothecary is most often just referred to by his job, and seldom do people use the name Andrew Chow when addressing him. Owning a successful shop in chinatown near the Wei Society, the Apothecary has long been associated and considered part of their circle. Glass jars of dried ingredients line the shelves of his shop, ranging from dried baby shrimp and scallops, to gelatinous black tree fungus, to even more elusive ingredients. The Apothecary lives above the shop with his wife and daughter, providing for the needs of the Asian population surrounding them.

Recently the Apothecary's daughter was attacked by Renxli, and Hao and Dewei were barely able to transfer the family back to the apartment complex and the safety of the wards in time. The Apothecary aided in the binding ritual, taking on the form of an ancient imperial archer in his war form. Since the sealing of the demon, the Apothecary has found himself chosen by the ancestors to become a minister of Heaven, using his skills with his ingredients to heal beyond the ability of basic herbalism.
