Princess Francisca of Orléans-Braganza (baptized as Francisca Glória Joana Carlota Micaela Gabriela Rafaela de Orleans e Bragança; born December 17, 1981) is the second daughter of the late Emperor Luís I of Brazil and his consort, Élisabeth Louise of France.
She is widely believed to be the smartest of the Emperor's children; she is the only one to have ever skipped a grade (two, in fact); she skipped both first and fourth grade. Unlike her siblings, she has zero interest in politics and is completely apolitical. Her real interest is oceanography, although she has never pursued this as a career. Instead, she studied nursing, and she currently works for a Brazilian branch of the International Red Cross. She dates fairly steadily, although, to her parents' (suspected) private consternation, many of the men she dates are commoners. In fact, when in public, she often uses a pseudonym to hide her royal status, and is a very secretive and private person.
In her spare time, she is an amateur painter. She also collects stamps, phonograph records, and coins.
