The Empire of Russia was a historical nation that existed in what is now the Holy Russian Empire for 37 years, from 1970-2007. During this period, the economy of Russia plummeted due to the reparations paid to Kyrusia and to the inefficiency of the Imperial government. The Russian Orthodox Church was all but banned, and the Kyrusian variant was imported to Russia, gaining popularity amongst the elite, but being shunned by the vast majority of Russians. Eventually, the corruption and economic weakness of Russia lead to the Holy Russian Revolution of 2007, and the Empire was replaced with the Holy Empire.
