Welcome to the Croydon Birders Website

This site is intended for people to view and enter sightings of birds in the Croydon area. This can be individual sightings or complete lists from the sites you've visitied. Information on all the latest sightings can be found on the Latest News page which can be accessed from the navigation section on the left of this page.

To obtain access rights please contact either John Birkett ( johnbirkett(at)hotmail.co.uk ) or Simon Harris ( simon(at)hhwcomputing.co.uk ) and we will get back to you with your user id and password.

We would like you to e-mail any records of schedule 1 species during the breeding season to us,
but any such records posted on this site will be removed (as will any anonymous posts).

When entering records please ensure you include the following information -

  1. location,
  2. date (and time) and
  3. observer details.

If you want to know where to go birding in Croydon then take a look at the RSPB Croydon Local Group website where you will find out lots of information about the groups activities as well as a guide to the main sites in the Croydon area.

There is also a page to record sightings of Other Wildlife species in Croydon.

Please note that records submitted to this website will be shared with the RSPB Croydon Local Group for use in their survey of birds in Croydon. We may get back to you for more info about records of scarcer species and records of other wildlife as records posted here may also be submittted to the London Natural History Society and the Surrey county bird recorder.

Please see the notes on Latest News page about avian pox as we would encourage people to report any incidents to the RSPB (and to let us know as well).
