He may be completely insane, but you'd rather risk it here with him than with the wolves.

"Fine. I'll stay. But I'm leaving tomorrow, and you can't stop me."

He smiles, but it doesn't reach his eyes. "I wouldn't dream of stopping you."

Back at the dinner table, Doctor Kreuger has gone back to staring at you. After a while, he excuses himself.

And eventually, you return yet again to your room. You hope it's for the last time, but you're starting to wonder if you'll ever be allowed to leave. This time, no one locks the door behind you. Good sign.

It takes you a long time to get to sleep, but finally you manage.

You wake strapped to a table. There are electrodes attached to your head. You're in Doctor Kreuger's laboratory. The doctor has his back to you, and you can't tell what he's doing. You struggle, but you can't move against the restraints. The movement makes noise, though, and the doctor turns to face you. You see a syringe in his hands.

"Ah. Melissa. Good morning."

"What are you doing? I'll sue you!" You threaten.

"Oh, I sincerely doubt that", says the madman. "You are going to be with me forever. I just have to make a few modifications so that you don't keep trying to leave. Don't worry. It will all be over soon."
