You recollect on that fatal day. The people of Rivera had many seasons ago been subjugated by your people. They were second class citizens, but that didn’t suit them. Last year they rebelled and slaughtered the people from the seven mountains that ruled the city. But they did not stop there. Any signs of your peoples culture and identity were erased from the city, making it as if you had never been there.
Your father was outraged. What insolence! To your delight he choose you to lead the armies as a passage of manhood. You were only sixteen and you remember clearly the joy of driving your enemies before you and hearing the terrified screams of their women.
Today only feral wolves and the dead inhabit the ruins of Rivera. The men were killed and the women and children enslaved. On the night of victory their usurper King was cuffed and forced to watch you rape his daughter and wife. The youngest of your five brothers was then given the privilege of beheading him the next morning before your troops moved out and returned to the seven mountains.
