In a rush of adrenaline (or madness?) you charge up the stairs and try to push past your father before he closes the door. To be fair, he is initially surprised at your fearless assault, but catches hold of your arm easily. Before you can react, he turns you towards him and slaps your face so hard that you momentarily lose your vision.
You feel him pull you roughly back down the stairs, the pain rendering you helpless.
"So this is how it's gonna be... you piece of shit?" he growls, inches away from your face, his alcohol breath nearly suffocating you. "I guess you aren't even fit... to be a slut..."
