You make your way back to the tree, ignoring both the unicorn and the raven. The shimmer you saw earlier is still there, very faint but once you know what you're looking for quite noticable. There's a faint irridescense to it and you have the feeling that it might not be real, in the same way that an illusion isn't real.
Somewhere, from deep inside the darkness that hides your memories comes a little tickle of uncertianty. This could be dangerous.
Slowly you reach out your hand and touch it. The shimmering ceases and it feels like ordinary tree back. When you remove your hand, you notice that the shimmering irridescense is back. Something isn't right here.
