To where the girls are skinny-dipping at the lake

Without really thinking about it, you turn down the path in the direction of the lake. The guys, you hope, can take care of themselves. Skinny-dipping, not paying attention to anything that is around them, you think the girls are particularly vulnerable.

But, first, you need to slow this creep down if you can.

You turn and face him. He isn't expecting it. He's even more surprised when you kick him in the balls, as hard as you can.

He looks frightening, but it turns out that he is only flesh and blood. He grunts, staggers, and hunches over, clutching himself. You feel some satisfaction knowing you hurt him so much.

But you aren't finished. You are stepping across some large rocks. You bend down and pick one up. You straighten up and throw it at him, aiming for his head. Then you throw another and another. Once again, your years of playing softball serve you well. You hit him with every rock you throw. All of them are hard throws. He grunts when the first one hits him, then staggers when the second one hits.

It takes several hits, but finally, you manage to put him down. He drops his weapon and collapses, lying on the path, not moving.

You think about taking his weapon away from him, but you don't want to get that close to him. In the movies, when the girl tries to search the killer, that's when he comes to life. You don't want to be that girl.

You turn away from the killer and run the rest of the way to the lake.

Before you get to the lake, you see something that makes you want to scream.

On all sides of the trail are trees. Just before the trail lets out at the lake, you see a body.

No, you think. You're too late. Blinking back tears, you kneel down and examine the body.

It appears to be Jackie, but you can't be certain, because her head is missing.

You fight back the urge to throw up and look around. You quickly spot Jackie's head. It is in the crook of a tree in front of you.

You stand up. You look around. You are a few yards from the pond. Maybe you can save the other girls.

You run the last few yards to the lake.

What happens?:

• You find Nikki and Chris, alive and well
• You find what's left of Nikki
• The slasher has resumed the chase, and he catches up to you
