Thyreon Imperial Navy

The nation's naval military and counterpart to the army. The Thyreon Navy is even more liberal than the army, at least when compared to the likes of the Palace Guard. The navy is especially popular with the middle class and the Establishment of the Circle as they are also responsible for guarding trade ships, ports, and trade lines in the sea. Not so popular with the Worker's Industrial League who view them as supposing the bourgeoisie "oppressors". Regardless, the navy is outfitted with modern ships, arms, and technology, as well as any relevant magick advancements.
They have something of a one-sided rivalry with the Thyreon Imperial Army which is vastly superior in size, funding, and prestige. While this is mostly harmless, albeit sometimes heated, competition, the dynamic pales in relationship with the Royal Palace Guard. They vehemently loathe each other for differing ideals, conditions, and even attitudes in general.
Currently, there is a visiting admiral in the Palace along with some trusted crewmen, they are invited to stay for the entirety of the competition. You can expect more than some drama between the navy and Guard.
While it is easy to gain simple and short-term favor with the navy by simply showing that you prefer them over the Guard and, to a lesser extent, the army, if you want to get real support, more action must be taken. Being openly more liberal on most issues will help in this, and helping the visiting admiral with any possible troubles he might have even more so.
The support of the navy might buy you aqua-related magicks, the loyalty of a Guard-hating crew, and a guaranteed evacuation to a safe haven in the case of an emergency.
