Tyler is a 9 year old, 4th grade student living with him mom, dad and step-sister Michelle, who is on summer vacation from collage. He heads down stairs to at 7:30 ready to catch the bus for school. After grabbing his book bag and slipping it over his shoulder he walks into the kitchen to see his mother at the counter looking like she had just slept in her clothes. “Morning mom, happy birthday!”
Jessica smiles and leaned down to kiss his cheek. “Thank you baby, oh look what daddy got me, it’s on the end table in the living room.” She tells him while finishing packing his lunch. Steven and Jessica had fallen asleep down stairs and she barely had time to toss her dress back on before Steven has to rush out the door to work.
Tyler saw what he thought was a snow globe on the table and picked it up, examining it. “What a piece of shit,” he says under his breath as his mother came into the room with his lunch in hand. He put down the globe and turned to head out the door with her. As he turned the backpack slammed into the globe and knocked it off the table. It hit the ground hard causing the glass to crack just enough for the demon contained with in to escape.
