Law enforcement does exist in the pirate city of Sartosa, but it is crippled by widespread corruption, petty internal politics and just plain laxness. Despite this, you know that they may be the only ones able to stop von Carstein's men and safely retrieve the barrels of warpstone. The central office of the Sartosa Watch, open all night, is situated not too far from the Plaza. Substantial bribes from criminal organizations have allowed the Watch to afford quite a beautiful and well-furnished building. Right now only one officer is sitting at the desk, a sallow-faced individual with a hook nose.
"Yes?" he asks you morosely.
