"My lord, Gert is right. Your plan will get your daughter killed. Out of loyalty to my future queen, I must demand that you reconsider, you senile old fool."

The king's eyes widen in shock, then anger sets in. "Guard captain!" he roars, and your senior runs to your side. "Seize this man!"

You feel rough arms pinning you down, and the bladed point of a sword tip at your throat. You're unceremoniously hauled away to the dungeons, where you spend the next two months, hearing nothing of the outside world.

Luckily, some of your former friends take pity on you and concoct a story that you have been bewitched. The king accepts their tale and releases you with a royal pardon, but you are never welcome in the castle again.

You live out your days as a poor farmer, always dreaming of what could have been.
