The Odd Town of Lua/Start

From Create Your Own Story

You look out the window. The sky is ablaze in warm colors; it will soon begin to darken, thank goodness.

The bus ride has been a special kind of hot. The seats are of some old, patterned, scratchy fabric, yet they hold heat like leather - and though you’re not near the front you can feel exactly what temperature the engine is on your neck and around your ears. The bus is an old growling beast with a snout - and not really something you would call environmentally friendly. You’re certain it’s from a time before ‘environmentally friendly’ was a thing. It’s an oven. The wind from outside isn’t much better, but it is better - it was like having a blow-dryer held to your face for a bit, that was until you worked up a good sweat. Being crammed in with dozens of strangers, and that bitter stench you hope is the engine, doesn't improve the situation.
