Luckily, the pirates hadn’t gotten far outside the city yet and you can still see it in the distance. With the dinghy you manage to get, you row back into the harbor, where you are met by the Royal Navy, who had just learned of Captain Whitlock’s theft of The Rising Sun and his kidnap of you. You father is overjoyed to see that you are safe and immediately takes you home where he and your mother decide that, for your own safety, you are going to be sent to live with your cousins in the countryside for a while. That way, you would be far, far away from the ocean and pirates like Captain Whitlock.
