Take the crowbar

You take the crowbar, leaving Trent with the metal bat and Jon with the big steak knife. It feels pretty heavy, but not to much for you to handle. It has a sharp curved edge that could definitely do some damage. Trent opens your window and Jon stands at the doorway, watching out for any zombies breaking in. All three of you stand there in awkward silence, listening to the roars and moans of the deadly mutants outside. You still cannot believe that this is actually happening. You don't want to believe this is really happening. You begin to think of your parents in Oregon, who live with each other on a lonely hill, and your brother in Nevada, who is a Colonel in the Army and lives on base. Would they be okay? Or, a better question, would you? Suddenly, as you're lost in thought thinking about this, Jon yells,
"They're breaking through!" and Trent climbs out the window of your bedroom. You follow him onto your roof, while Jon shuts the door and climbs out behind you. Once on the roof, he shuts the window as an added precaution. The three of you stand on the roof, looking down at the small horde of zombies flooding into your home. Silently, you watch as Trent creeps onto the top of the awning right above the front door. Then, making sure the last of the zombies are inside the house, he clambers down onto the ground on his own. He always was better at climbing trees and such ever since you two were little kids. You admire how sneakily he walks to your SUV. You toss him the car keys and he gets inside. Once in the car, he starts the engine and drives it in front of the door, blocking any zombies from getting out. He gets out of the car and begins helping you down, and then you help Jon down. Once the three of you are safely on the ground, you take position as driver and get in your car. Jon gets in back and Trent climbs into the passenger seat. Then, before pulling out of the doorway, you take one final look at the zombies banging their head and fists against the hood of your car. You then back away from the house and drive off into the deeper parts of your city. You drive around for a bit until the trail of zombies following you from the house disperse, allowing you to drive freely around the city.
