After several hours of following the trail down to the East, you come across a great stone wall, spanning as far as the eye can see. Towers sprout out of the walls every few hundred feet, and soldiers are manning the walls. Ahead of you, a gatehouse protects the road, with it's mighty iron portcullis blocking anyone who may wish to pass.
Their are several soldiers at the gate, and you approach them, inquiring about entry.
"Halt! All who wish to enter the realms of Men must first pay the toll. What say you, kitten?" The soldier barks, clearly intending kitten to be an insult to you.
You ask how much the fee is to pass the gate.
"The toll is a fair sum of 100 gold. If you cannot pay, you best leave now." The soldier continues speaking, with a sense of authority.
You quickly check your bag that is slung over your shoulder. You only muster together 50 gold coins, still 50 gold short of entry.
The guard casually approaches you,
"For you kitten, I might let you through for free...That is, if you do something for me..." The guard whispers in your ear as he strokes your chin, which causes your feline tail to rise in caution.
