TRTC/Awakening

From Create Your Own Story

"It's not over yet," you mutter.

The kids did hear you, but are confused on what you said. What does that mean?

You walk away from the classroom and find the energy to march to the Principal's Office and file your resignation letter.

"I quit," you tell her.

"But you can't," says the Principal. "This is the only job that would hire you. There's no point in leaving."

"There is," you say, now full of confidence. "I have my dignity."

And so, you give your co-worker Mark the position as head of the janitorial staff.

"Awesome," Mark says, eyes fixed on his game. "But where will you go?"

You open the doors of the school for the last time. Turning your back to Mark, you say, "Home."
