High school students burst out of wide glass doors and dash down weathered white steps, underclassmen piling into bright yellow buses, upperclassmen lingering behind, waiting for the parking lot to empty out before leaving in their own cars.
The story starts.
"Claire!" Your dark eyes scan the hallway, searching for the source of the voice, but can't seem to spot it. The hallway is mostly empty now, save for a few meandering upperclassmen. Just as you've given up on finding the source, Kendall Doherty pops up beside you. "Hey!" she says cheerily, "Before you go, I saw something on the club board I thought you might be into!" She waves, and before you have time to respond she's gone.
You're not in a rush, might as well check it out. It's early September, when the air is warm but the breeze is chilly, and the Windy Lea high school clubs and events are just beginning to organize themselves.
There are three new notices on the board: first, an invitation for students to join the film club, where they'll be making music videos and showcasing them at an amateur film festival two towns over. Second, a notice about registration for a skateboarding competition with a number of prizes. And finally, a note informing singers that tryouts for the school's elite choir group, Red Rhapsody, are being held. But of the three, only one catches your eye.
