You drop the towel down on the floor and head over to the entrance to your apartment, putting on a pair of shoes that sat on a mat near the door. It'd have been stupid to walk across broken glass with bare feet. Since your feet are now protected, you have no problem walking back over to the brick, across the glass, and picking it up. You can hear the glass cracking and breaking underneath you as you carefully free the piece of paper from the brick and unfold it with one hand.

It reads:

"Can you swim?"

The words are written in a blue pen. You wonder what it could mean, when your ears pick up the sound of rushing water. It sounds like it is coming from the outside somewhere and getting closer...

• Leave your apartment quickly, that can't be a good sound.
