You direct your big body to the video-game store and step inside. You're the only female in the place, and you're banking on the law of supply and demand. Sure enough, you start getting looks from some of the gamers.

The two best-looking ones are playing a demo version of some basketball game. "I've just about got you, Mike!" says a decent-looking, brown-haired guy who looks about your age. "Up 2 with just a few seconds left!"

"Not so fast, Max," Mike replies. He's almost handsome with his blond hair and slightly weather-beaten face. He looks like he's in his late 20's. You watch as Mike maneuvers his video-game player into position for a long shot. "3 at the buzzer -- GOOD! I win!"

"Aw, man!" Max groans. "I thought that game was mine!"

They stop talking about games when they feel your gaze on them. They both look up and smile at you.
