Stop the Distant Archer

From Create Your Own Story

I weaved out from my engagement with the axeman, and focusing my gaze on the far archer I surged towards my target. His arrow went wild over my head in his panic, and he dropped his bow to try to draw his sword. It was a useless gesture, as my blade parted him from this world before he could complete the motion. The two halves of his body plopped onto the ground with a satisfying squelch, and I admired the pool of blood that seeped out around him. There will be time for that later...for now... +4 health.

As if he had sensed my thoughts the axeman behind me swing at my unprotected back. I dove forward, and his swing only clipped the edge of my back. -1 health. I weaved back around, and as I brought my sword up to block his backswing I stepped into his battle stance. With a stab to the chest I ended his life. +4 health.

Blood stained my clothes, and a distant part of me, the part that bothered with appearances, was deeply disgusted. But not enough of me cared as I dined upon their remains.

It's been so long since I've tasted the sweet tang of blood. Though these sour men were no fine course meal, they would do quite nicely.
