No time like the present! You leap out of your hiding spot, dagger drawn, and slash wildly at the Squid girl. "Ahhh!" She shrieks. After her initial shock, she tries to distance herself from you. Not wanting to commit yourself to a single kill blow with as many tentacles, and angles of attack, as she does, you just keep up the pace of rapid slashes. She is slow to react, but, like you believed, has the edge in defense with her tentacles.
After many wicked slices hit, red blood appears from multiple wounds on the Squid girl. You are pushing her back!
It appears you have the advantage on boat and she just can't keep up. Rejudging the situation, she appears to be suffering from her wounds greatly.
After pausing the attack as she finally makes distance, she gives you one more terrified look before jumping back into the water.
