Sit quietly and wait to see what the nurse does

The nurse, or doctor, or whatever she is sits you down on a nearby waiting room bench. She hurries over to a phone on the wall just around the corner. You can see her poking her head out every now and then to check on you. She seems concerned, scared even, curling the phone cord around her finger as she speaks. you can't quite hear what she's saying. After a few minutes of talking to somebody, she comes back over to you. "Somebody will be here shortly to escort you to an appropriate care facility. First of all, let's see what we can do about that arm." You didn't really think about the arm for a while. It's still an open wound but it's stopped bleeding and it isn't hurting as much anymore.
In no time at all, the nurse has your arm stitched up. "You've been quiet." she says, inquisitively, "Can you speak."
