Shake the monkey's hand

You slowly grab the monkey's hand but you are afraid of the walking hairy primate so you put away your hand. The monkey is persistent in gaining your trust so he grabs a banana and hands it to you.

"I'm not here to hurt you, I just want to help you" he said in front of his primate "friends" who were having different ideas.

You being an uncivilized hominid did not understand a single word the sapient creature has said, but you were able to figure out that he means no harm through his tone of voice and his body movement which was a safe distance from you as to not scare you away.

"Are you sure it understands what you're saying? It's just an uncivilized hairless ape." said one of the primates in the group.

"The Hominid may not be able to understand me but it can find out from my body language that I am not going to attack him. I am an experienced Zoologist and Veterinarian, I've done this hundreds of times before, he will not attack."

"Alright doc, I trust that you'll get the job done. Gentlemen move out let the doctor and his assistant handle this." said the leader of the armed primates which you assume is the clan leader.
