Leaping into the air, the first blood goes to the rat as it flails its claws towards the young girl. Getting a minor slice to her arm, Serenity swings back with her sword to land a clean slice towards the rat right in its gut. It lands with a hard thud and squirms knowing that it's been hit. It slowly bleeds out and dies there on the spot.
Grinding her teeth, Serenity looks at her cut and shakes off the pain.
The death of the rat alerts all the others that stop their feasting and charge for the girl.
